This week High Plains Tap House has some exciting events planned for your enjoyment.

First off there are a ton of new beers on tap this week including the very rare Oskar Blues Old Chub that has been aged in Sherry Barrels.  This one won't last so get it while the getting is good.  Mountain Toad Cream Ale is back as well just in time to quench your growing summer thirst.

Wednesday night is Wine Wednesday.  High Plains Tap House has 12 varietals of wine to choose from, and on Wednesday they are all $3 a glass.  Pair that with our famous Meat and Cheese plate for just $7.95.  That is just $11 for a night full of fun!

This Saturday is Colorado State University Day in Colorado.  In honor of CSU, High Plains Tap House will be hosting I Love CSU Day!  Come on down on Saturday in your Green and Gold (or Aggie Orange) and get a special drink on us starting at 6pm.  Everyone in CSU school colors will get a raffle ticket for a chance at great prizes.  Prizes include a CSU wrist watch, cooler, t-shirt, liter mug and much more!  Don't miss out on this chance to win great prizes for wearing your Green and Gold.  Must be present to win, prizes will be drawn during the first intermission of our live music (around 8pm).

Speaking of Live Music, Saturday Paul Lechner will be in the house playing guitar and singing your favorite rock classics.  Paul will be starting at 7pm and playing a couple of sets for your listening pleasure.

And if that wasn't enough, on Saturday we will also be giving away 2 tickets to the South Denver Beer Festival!  Every drink you buy after 6pm gets you one chance at winning the tickets.  These are General Admission tickets - an $80 value!  Must be present to win, and the drawing will be after the live music ~9pm.

So get on in this week for fresh new beers and wine, great food specials and be sure to be here Saturday for Live Music and CSU day!

Spring has Sprung!

Spring has Sprung!

March is gone, and April is here!  Thanks to everyone who came out and supported High Plains Tap House in March.  High Plains had its best month ever in March and we appreciate the support!

Since it is the beginning of the month here is a list of all of the April Events at High Plains.  April should be a great month of fun with a ton of cool things to do at the Tap House.

This Saturday, April 4th, High Plains Tap House is having a Beer and Sausage Pairing.  Continental Sausage will be in the house with 6 different types of exotic and fun sausages which will be paired with six 4oz beers.  This will be a slightly different format than previous pairings.  High Plains will be providing 3 light beers first and then 3 dark beers second. A flavor sheet will be provided which can then be used to pair as many sausages with each beer as you would like.  Come up with your own flavor combinations!  This event is $25 and should be an epicurean delight!

Green Flash Brewing and Alpine Brewing are teaming up on April 11th for a Hoppy Tap Takeover!  High Plains Tap House will have the Green Flash Palate Wrecker and Double Stout, and Alpine will have the Hoppy Birthday and the Nelson!  This event will be sure to delight any hop fan or any beer fan period.  All these beers are 99 point beers except for the Nelson, which is 100 points.  As usual there will be swag to give away for supporting beer purchases, so be sure to come on down and get your 99+ point beer flight!

April 18th is Live Music Night and Colorado State University day!  Wear your green and gold for special prizes and drink specials all night!  Listen to the guitar rock stylings of Paul Lechner and jam out with High Plains all night long!

April 22nd is Earth Day and to celebrate High Plains Tap House will be giving away all of the accumulated swag that they have collected in a year and a half.  Glassware, t-shirts, bags, sticker, key chains, among other stuff.  High Plains Tap House has a lot accumulated and they want to give it all away so come on down on April 22nd and join in the recycling.

And the big event of the month is going to be the MONSTER PARTY with Fort Collins Brewing on April 25th.  All that I am going to say at this point is "The Monsters Are Coming..." and you aren't going to want to miss it.  Save the date.

Last but not least, are you tired of a $1 bill not going as far as it used to? At High Plains Tap House we can appreciate that problem. The good news is that High Plains has lowered their food prices by a $1 on more than 5 food items. So now you can get your grub on a Chicken Panini, or a Pulled Pork Sandwich along with Warm Pretzels and a Meat and Cheese Plate all while saving enough money to buy another beer!  In a world of constant inflation isn't it nice to save a buck! See you soon for a tasty meal!

Let's keep the fun rolling in April with new beer, great patio weather, new lower prices on food and just a ton of fun events.

All that new beer and Live Music tomorrow with the Vintage Silk Band!  Sax, Guitar and Bass team up to form soulful sounds!  Get on down Saturday at 7pm to listen to these sweet sounds paired with one of our new beers!

Finally, Tuesday is Pictionary with Crazy Mountain!  High Plains is super happy to have Karl in from Crazy Mountain to help us with our fast and furious drawing.  Come on down and try one of the new 4 beers from Crazy Mountain to get in the drawing spirit.  Winners will get prizes and swag from us and Crazy Mountain.
