New Beer Friday!

ShareThis

New Beers that will be staggering into High Plains Tap House this evening as our lazy pool boy gets the lines cleaned and the beers tapped:

Fresh Squeezed IPA by Deschutes Brewery - most addicting IPA since Demon Seed (which we still have).
Tank 7 Farmhouse by Boulevard Brewing Company a nice big hoppy and spicy beer that goes down too easy for its big ABV.
There Gose Professor Plum by Fort Collins Brewery - FCB a nice light sour with hints of salt and plum
Everyone's favorite Belgian White - White Rascal by Avery Brewing Company will be in the house.
And last, but not least, a Belgian Pale Ale Collaboration from Chain Reaction Brewing Company and Lone Tree Brewing Company. This was the first beer made by Chain Reaction on the 7 Barrel system that moved from Lone Tree to Chain Reaction. History in the making!

All that good stuff new this weekend not to mention all of our other great taps. Get in this weekend for some fantastic refreshment!

On the Fast Track to the Weekend!

ShareThis
It is almost the weekend at High Plains Tap House and that means new beers on tap, and exciting weekend events!

This week High Plains has some old favorite beers coming back along with a never before seen at High Plains beer.
Returning this week Telluride Brewing's Beaver Pond Blonde is back.  This is a fan favorite medium bodied blonde that drinks easy and never lasts very long.
Also returning, is an owner favorite - Snow Drop by Grimm Brothers brewing.  This is a Köttbusser, a "lost" German style, with oats, honey and molasses that contributes to a full bodied golden ale.
The Deiter Dunkel is back for the last time!  This beer has been featured before in the Fort Collins Brewing Monster Series.  Made once for the series, I have been saving this beautiful beer for just the right time, and now is it!
New to High Plains, the Imperial IPA Gubna by Oskar Blues!  This is a big hop bomb that is not for the weak of heart!

This weekend is Live Music!  Saturday night at 7pm our friend Craig Spader will be rocking out with Rock/Rockabilly covers as well as his own fantastically written music!  As always, this is a no cover show so get in early to get your seats as Craig always puts on a great show.

Summer is hot at High Plains Tap House!  Check out our website for a complete listing of events, weekly and summer specials and all the fun you can handle!

See you this weekend for new beer and Live Music!

The Beast and Other Fun Beers

ShareThis
Woohoo! The holiday weekend is almost upon us and High Plains Tap House is going to help you get it kicked off right with The Beast Grand Cru by Avery Brewing and 5 other new beers.

The Beast is a seducer – accommodating, complicated, powerful, dark and created to last the ages. With a deep burgundy color and aromas of honey, nutmeg, mandarin orange and pineapple, this massive and challenging brew has flavors akin to a beautiful Caribbean rum. Dates, plums, raisins and molasses are dominant in a rich vinous texture.  At 16.1% ABV The Beast is not for the weak of heart!

Other New Beers include:
Andy Gator by Abita, a creature of the swamp, is a unique, high-gravity brew made with pale malt, German lager yeast, and German Perle hops. Unlike other high-gravity brews, Andygator is fermented to a dry finish with a slightly sweet flavor and subtle fruit aroma. Reaching an alcohol strength of 8% by volume, it is a Helles Doppelbock.

Brombeere Gose by Odell Brewing
Odell loves blackberries so they wondered: what if they used the sweetness of those berries to complement the saltiness of a German-style sour wheat beer? Their blackberry gose (GOES-uh) is a balance of tangy and sweet, and as crisp and lively as some of their favorite late summer evenings.  4.8% ABV

Pug Ryan Hideout Helles
Light amber-colored bock crafted with Wyermann malts and yeast from the Andechs Monastery in Germany for a sweet, malty character with a subtle roasted accent. Medium body and low hop bitterness make for an altogether arresting experience. 6.9% ABV

Victory at Sea by Ballast Point
A big porter crafted to weather any storm.  Victory at Sea Imperial Porter is a bold, smooth brew with just the right amount of sweetness. They infused this robust porter with whole vanilla beans and San Diego’s own Cafe Calabria coffee beans. The subtle roasted notes and minimal acidity of the cold brewed coffee, balances perfectly with the sweet caramel undertones of the malt, creating a winning combination for your palate.  10% ABV and 100 points on RateBeer.com

Colette by Great Divide
COLETTE is their homage to the saisons that Belgian farm workers have enjoyed for centuries. Brewed with barley, wheat and rice and fermented at high temperatures with a special blend of four different yeast strains, COLETTE is fruity and slightly tart, with a dry finish that makes it that rarest of treats — a beer as refreshing as it is complex.  7.3% ABV

Get in Thursday and Friday and grab yourselves one of these great beers!

We will closed Saturday, July 4th, and then back at it with $4 IPA Sunday on the 5th and $2-$3 Craft Can Mondays on the 6th.

Mark your calendars for Live Music on July 11th with Craig Spader!
