Oktoberfest Party Saturday at NOON!

ShareThis
It is almost Oktoberfest time!  Tomorrow is the big day, and here are all the details:

We open at NOON on Saturday so we can fit in all the fun we have planned.

For food we will have white pork and veal brats from Continental Sausage that we are going to boil in beer, braise and then serve with (or without) sauerkraut and German potato salad - $5.95.  We will also have a pumpkin beer cheese fondu with pretzel dippers - $4.95.  And to round it all out we have apple strudel from our friends at Taste of Denmark in Lakewood for $1.95.  All this food is being sold almost at cost!  We just want everyone to have something good to eat!  Supplies are limited so get down early and get your great, cheap eats!

Our Firkin for tomorrow is Epic Brewing's Mid Mountain Mild with Cascara (the red berries from coffee plants) - $5 a pint.  I can't wait to see what that will taste like!  Firkin beers are limited to what is in the barrel, so make sure and get yours while it lasts.

We are giving away a ton of stuff tomorrow, T-Shirts, Liter Glass Steins, and Gift Certificates.  Here is how to win!
At 2pm and 4pm we will be having stein hoisting contests for both men and women.  Winners will receive a glass stein!
All day we will be having a Bavarian costume contest.  We will be taking pictures and will pick a winner shortly after the event ends.  Winners will take home a glass stein, t-shirt, and $20 in house cash (don't need to be present to win).  So break out those lederhosen and dirndl dresses for your chance at the grand prizes!  There will be one male and one female winner.

We will also be doing random drawings after 4:30pm for all of the glass steins that are left!

Wow!  So much action packed into one day!  We can't wait to see you at the party!

May all your Oktoberfests be as fun as ours!

THURSDAY NIGHT BREWERY NIGHT WITH CHAIN REACTION!

ShareThis
It is going to be a crazy week of fun at High Plains Tap House!  In addition to our Oktoberfest party on Saturday our friends at Chain Reaction Brewing Company have graciously allowed us to be the first ever to tap one of their beers outside of their brewery.

That's right, High Plains is the first place ever to carry Chain Reaction's Lemon IPA!  This fan favorite will not last long, so make sure and mark your calendar for this Thursday at 5pm.

Zack of Chain Reaction will be down to talk about his beer and to hand out swag.  Every Lemon IPA that you buy gets you a raffle ticket good for an entry to win all the fabulous prizes.  There will be glassware, t-shirts, and growler fills given out!

The event starts at 5pm, and drawings will begin at 7:15 (must be present to win) and we will give stuff out every 10 minutes after that till all the swag is gone.

Pints of Lemon IPA will be $5 on Thursday only, so come on down and help us celebrate Chain Reaction's fantastic beer!

May all your beers be tasty!

New Beers on Tap

New Beers Tonight!

We have brought a ton of new stuff in the last week.  We are tapping 4 new beers tonight!

Trellis Garden Ale by Odell.  This tasty beer has herbs and spices from a local farm that add a general earthy cut grass type of flavor.  Superbly balanced with hops this even, smooth and complex ale is sure to please.
Peche De Nuit by Epic/Bruery is a collaboration stout made with peaches and spice, it is everything nice!
8 Second Kölsch is back for an encore performance.  This is a light drinking beer style from Germany that is sure to satisfy those that are looking to knock back a few.
St. Louis Gueuze Fond Tradition is the new SOUR! in town.  This sour from Belgian is light and tart sour that is sure to delight those hard core sour lovers.

With the Oktoberfest beers and pumpkin beers flowing and these new beauties are just a great addition to a lot of good beer flowing at High Plains Tap House.

May all your beers be tasty!

Cloudburst Dunkelweizen by Odyssey Brewing a nice dark wheat
Kasteel Cuvée du Château - so excited
New Memphis Chili Gold by Rockyard brewing - you have wanted a chili beer on tap, and now you have it!
Old Soul by Crazy Mountain - a fan favorite that we are bringing back around
Saison du Buff - Collab between Stone, Victory, and Dogfish - enough said
Sangre de Diablo by Crazy Mountain a rarely seen Imperial Belgian Red that is sure to surprise
Window Tour Hefeweizen from Grist - all time customer favorite Hefe

We're on the Colorado Craft Beer Show on AM 760

ShareThis
High Plains Tap House is proud to announce that we are now a Sponsor of the Colorado Craft Beer Show. The Colorado Craft Beer Show is on AM 760 from Noon to 2pm every Saturday.

This is a great opportunity to work with beer guru John Turk. Every week John dishes on the skinny around the craft beer scene in Colorado. No one in Colorado knows beer better than John and he shares some of that vast knowledge every week!

Today we have the honor to be his special guest. We will be stopping by the studio in the 1pm hour to discuss our sponsorship and any other darn thing that comes to our minds

If you love to keep up with the craft beer scene in Colorado this is a must listen every week, so check it out this week and listen to us on the radio! What could be better?

From our lips to your ears,

Nate and Laura
