The Beast and Other Fun Beers

Woohoo! The holiday weekend is almost upon us and High Plains Tap House is going to help you get it kicked off right with The Beast Grand Cru by Avery Brewing and 5 other new beers.
The Beast is a seducer – accommodating, complicated, powerful, dark and created to last the ages. With a deep burgundy color and aromas of honey, nutmeg, mandarin orange and pineapple, this massive and challenging brew has flavors akin to a beautiful Caribbean rum. Dates, plums, raisins and molasses are dominant in a rich vinous texture.  At 16.1% ABV The Beast is not for the weak of heart!
Other New Beers include:
Andy Gator by Abita, a creature of the swamp, is a unique, high-gravity brew made with pale malt, German lager yeast, and German Perle hops. Unlike other high-gravity brews, Andygator is fermented to a dry finish with a slightly sweet flavor and subtle fruit aroma. Reaching an alcohol strength of 8% by volume, it is a Helles Doppelbock.
Brombeere Gose by Odell Brewing
Odell loves blackberries so they wondered: what if they used the sweetness of those berries to complement the saltiness of a German-style sour wheat beer? Their blackberry gose (GOES-uh) is a balance of tangy and sweet, and as crisp and lively as some of their favorite late summer evenings.  4.8% ABV
Pug Ryan Hideout Helles
Light amber-colored bock crafted with Wyermann malts and yeast from the Andechs Monastery in Germany for a sweet, malty character with a subtle roasted accent. Medium body and low hop bitterness make for an altogether arresting experience. 6.9% ABV
Victory at Sea by Ballast Point
A big porter crafted to weather any storm.  Victory at Sea Imperial Porter is a bold, smooth brew with just the right amount of sweetness. They infused this robust porter with whole vanilla beans and San Diego’s own Cafe Calabria coffee beans. The subtle roasted notes and minimal acidity of the cold brewed coffee, balances perfectly with the sweet caramel undertones of the malt, creating a winning combination for your palate.  10% ABV and 100 points on
Colette by Great Divide
COLETTE is their homage to the saisons that Belgian farm workers have enjoyed for centuries. Brewed with barley, wheat and rice and fermented at high temperatures with a special blend of four different yeast strains, COLETTE is fruity and slightly tart, with a dry finish that makes it that rarest of treats — a beer as refreshing as it is complex.  7.3% ABV
Get in Thursday and Friday and grab yourselves one of these great beers!
We will closed Saturday, July 4th, and then back at it with $4 IPA Sunday on the 5th and $2-$3 Craft Can Mondays on the 6th.
Mark your calendars for Live Music on July 11th with Craig Spader!
